The morning after Christmas is always fun to look again at your gifts.
And my girl was feeling better!!
We love our Gigi!
Dev's gifts...not too many. Sometimes I feel bad about not giving
what I perceive as tons of gifts. But, then we want Christmas to
not be so focused on all the stuff. It is a tricky thing- it is almost
like I feel sad if they feel they didn't get a lot. But they have so much!
No trip to CO is complete without American Girl Doll
store with our cousin.
And now with Gigi who has a doll to shop for...it was fun!
Date for the boys...we turned them loose for wings and
whatever else their hearts desired...we do hope that
involves "sharing their hearts'...one of our jokes.
Joke aside, I so value these men in our lives and in Andrew's life.
We received the blessing of hearing Missy lead worship.
I love the cousins loving our newest.
Painting classes with Gigi at her new residence.
So bittersweet that she lives in an Alzheimer care
residence. Never wanted that to be her story and
often carry the weight that she does not live with us.
We spent some time with Gigi at her place setting up
a new art table for her to get busy on her art!
Found this in my mom's things...This prayer was for Bobo.
Go Colorado!
They had some fierce ping pong going on.
My two babes.
This was the rage around the house at Christmas.
Dear friend Sandy since 5th grade...we see each other
of course every time I return home. This time she
got to meet Cambria! SO thankful for our friendship.
This cup of water from Starbucks FROZE overnight
in our car!!
New outfit from dear Peggy who knew my parents
before I was an idea.
Aspen Grove a favorite little shopping area where
I always meet my friend Jody, we have been
meeting here for years every time I come to visit.
Jody got to meet the girl! Jody was my
resident director in college and I love that we
still connect, she is a dear heart.
Its fun to have our picture taken together.
My boy Cole (my sister Heather's oldest) who I saw being born
is now working his first job and he makes us all proud by working
at Chick-fil-A! Love him much!
Every year a tradition to go our with the couples for dinner and
an ornament exchange. I think we calculated it has been maybe
20 years??? Love these people!
This was also the night as we were making our way out that
a couple admired Cambria in the restaurant and so Andrew
thought it would be a good idea for them to hold her so
they could really admire her. Oh my husband...complete strangers?!?
We headed up to Evergreen one day...also a tradition to the
winery where my dad sings and plays.
This time was a little different for two reasons:
we had a girlfriend at the table (Cole's) and my boy went up to sing!
Go Bobo...oh and I went up to sing also!
He received his first tip from a customer. The place
grew quiet while Bobo was up there.
As we were listening to papa,
Bobo looked at me and said,
"well I guess you grew up with this."
Have to stop for skating next while you are in Evergreen.
No skating for these cats....
I asked the cousins if Bobo could play some hockey (their sport)
with them, he was very excited!
Nothing like pretty white skates!
Love hanging at my sister Stef's....
Every year, these ladies all meet for a brunch. They all met in College
and they are my oldest sister's age but I also for a time lived in a house
with some of them post college. They are dear, lovely,
and welcoming and always glad to see us.
The babies keep growing
Sweet Sues, one of the girls I always look
forward to seeing!
Never tire of the Colorado mountains.
Next we get to go to them to celebrate the New Year!
