More spring days

I came out to this scene.
Bobo was so funny, he said, "She is so content.
Can you get me out of here, I am getting really dizzy."

One day Dev and Bobo doing
commercials with Kimmy.  They
had her rolling with laughter.

I think these two were dressed up like zombies,
not that we have many references for
zombies...but they were in being mischievous
together.
As in, putting makeup on.

So good thoughts pre Mother's Day from
Ann Voskamp...A Holy Experience Blog

So we are back to sewing.  This time we are re-creating
a formal gown for a Red Carpet birthday party
for one of Deveraux's friends.

We found this dress for $15.00 at Savors and Dev
has an idea in mind for it.  I encouraged Dev
to "Go for it" and not be stopped by what others
would be wearing but to dress Red Carpet.
I am proud of her for being confident and
going for it.  Life is too short not to....
Cozy with crackers on the lanai.  A rare
treat when we need a blanket.
"I am so aware of my limits.  My cold keeps me
from being able to talk well.  Lack of sleep
because of Cambria keeps my energy low.  She
goes through periodic rough patches, I am sure
due to teething.  And Bobo not listening..make
for a tired limited mama.
Her spot in the mornings while dada showers
and I go on a quick morning run.  Thankful
I have been able to keep my running!
Yes!
Homeschooling brings up so many questions for me.
What is really important versus my duties.
Patience.
Trusting the process.  Trusting God and myself-
Is it just about of crossing things off the list and always
following the format.  That is a lot of how I have lived my life.
Its funny.  I wanted to be a teacher growing up and I
would played school.  But I was never what I
perceived as naturally great at school.  I always had
to study hard and I never thought I had "natural
smarts".  And even now I see that as a teacher, I
don't totally rely that I can always teach off the cuff.
I rely on books and so sometimes I don't feel that
freedom to go on "teaching tangents."  I know I have
strengths and those come into play in the classroom
but my weaknesses are having the louder voice
right now.

One morning. decided we should all have
quiet times.  I remember growing up having
time alone with God was good.
I want to go here.
Dev, Cambria, and I took Kimberly to the ER
as she was needing to get checked out after
having a car accident.  I had not been there
since Cambria came into the world.  So had
to get our picture.

She likes bottles

Dev and our friend worked on this purse made from shorts
Dev loved and didn't want to give up.

One of the things I appreciate about dad is sometimes he
knows just what to say.  One time in church at offering
time, he handed Dev money.  Sometimes he hits it.

His Curious George presentation

I had my students write a response journal one
day...My perfect school day.  Then I surprised
Deveraux and made it happen.  We made rolls
for breakfast and quiche for lunch.

He loved the Castle books!
Then she had requested that we study one topic all day,
a little Math, no writing, and I would write her
response journal.

And in one big wet kiss it was alright.

What a day.  It was ironic that the day was set to give Deveraux her "perfect school day."  It began at the grocery store with Bobo having a hard time choosing his drink.  And there were just some moments that felt defeating.

It was me
And the big kiss came from Bobo right before Drew took him to bed and it was okay.
We hope to design a Gallagher flag from
these ideas.

We found great U Tube videos on castles.
Bobo gave me this cross for Mother's Day,
don't have the heart to take it down yet.

bow in her hair

Sabbath

Bobo gave me loose change for Mother's Day and I was
able to buy a coffee, that is no small thing!
Ahhhh. Sabbath!

First haircut from Dada...Andrew is
"channeling" his inner Tia..his mom
who has been cutting hair her entire
life and is amazing!!
Good spring days!
