Taking off into holiday

Getting ready to go...to the mainland for the first time with baby.
Sleeping away...she has no idea!

Andrew and I worked into the morning hours cleaning
and preparing the home for the guests who will
be staying here...a lot of work in the last 2 days!
Andrew was steam cleaning the carpet at 3 in the morning.

New couch we got just yesterday-shopping around for one for
awhile..we took the plunge.
And here we are...into the warm hospitality of the Langfords.
Their first meeting- Elosie and Cambria- these two prayed for and so desired!

Already fast friends!

This woman loves wholly!  So glad to be in her presence again.

We now have 6 between us!
Enjoying Chipolte on the porch, a treat!

Sweet Emeline
We stayed in the beautiful back house.

We did the traditional jump in the van and Surprise!  Thinking
they are going to bed and going to see lights instead!
Polar Bear Express!

Sweet sweet friends

A tree in the forest with ornaments
you can write on and hang!

A favorite spot is the old fire truck at the beginning of
an amazing coastal walk.  Definitely on the list for a stop.

I was in this spot a few years back and surrendered my desire
to have a baby...here we are together.

My sweet friend.

Go birds go!

Fire truck fun...
(FLASHBACK)
We used these pics for his 4th birthday invite.

Then we made a stop to our house.  Our beloved house that I
still day dream about.  What did I love so much...sitting on the
front porch staring at that big tree during my quiet times, watching
the kids play and gain independence outside as their imaginations
soared, the mantle that felt so fun to decorate in the cozy living room..
I just loved it.

They used to love climbing this tree!
So we ended up going in our house.  Andrew in his boldness
got us in the front door.  Bittersweet.  It is not our house anymore.
No longer our fingerprints.  This marked a lot of my time in Carmel.
I wanted to live there not be a visitor passing through, although so
grateful to see faces we love, it was bittersweet.
