Maui memories with mom

Nothing like trying to do Math on a harness.

I put Gigi to work..she is so good at meticulously
cleaning and our school sink needed some attention.
It looked so good when she was finished!
Had to put on the hat, we forgot on the birthday
(thanks Young)
Glad she is with us on Maui!
Have to get Gigi out walking, she feels so good
when she returns.

Great idea in our history book... to talk about the
different contributions to the English language,
and use play dough to show how each influence
were added together to form English.

What does Gigi think...

Watching Barney for the first time...a tradition
passed down from brother and sister.  We have
not watched since--trying not to start baby on
too much television.
One Friday when we needed a break from
schedules, we headed to Honokowai beach and
spent about 5 hours there.  I had mom do her
walk right in the park while the kiddos played
in the water.

They built a castle.

Bobo put his skates in a shopping basket, just
thought it was funny.
Honolua store

Cursive writing workbook complete!
He climbed the rope in Cross Fit!

Mom loves this burger joint with 50's music.

Hey Cambria!
Thank you cards for birthday.
Yes, I came out and they were getting
Gigi on the swings.  I love that mom is
just game for whatever.

When Cambria wakes up, we rush to her so
she doesn't fall off the bed.  Many times we just
find her sitting.

Sabbath with mom

I love when his room looks like this!
He likes to set up little areas of things he likes.
Bobo cleaned his room..April 30th
Worth documenting!  WOW!

"Granny is the name, spoiling is the game"
We saw that in the window and had to get a picture.
We spent the day in Ka'anapali...shops, beach, and pool.
Mom wanted to buy us something so bad, so she
blessed us with a sign that we forever remember her by...

Mom has been wanting another toe ring,
so we got one!

The sand was so hot that day!

Silly Dev

All day!

Mom was being brave.  She doesn't swim, I was impressed
she wanted to get in a little bit.

A great day out.  One of my favorite things is to
be outside most of the day at the beach and pool.
I wanted him to try on the old fire suit.

gift from mom
mom and I matching bracelets....
first cracker!

love Target

Bobo wanted Papa D to see this, he remembered
when we went to Mississippi and he got to
sit with Papa and mow the big lawn.
We had the best time swinging in Costco while Andrew shopped.

We have had some good time using this late arrival
book to our school year...we go outside and I read
and then they draw...we also made posters to
summarize and present what we learned.  I am glad
we have gotten to some Science this year.

Sunset at Kapalua Bay

Sweet Sharon, a friend of moms, comes to Maui
each year, we arranged it so mom would travel
on the same flight, so she would have someone
to help her on the trip here.  She is a lovely
friend and we so enjoyed getting to know her.
Bobo rigged up some roped and attached them
to the dinning room table.

Busy "beavers"....

Mom is so much for dependent

Mom loves this church, we have a painting on our
wall that she painted of this church.
first highchair moment.

We tool mom to Plantation House to
celebrate an early Mother's Day.
This one in front was so silly during lunch and
now I notice someone in the back (mom) with
silliness...these two!  :)

Yup, saving Gigi's legs for her!
sillies!
Time for Gigi to say Aloha!

It just struck me, I will so miss Gigi for my kids.

Mom picked this color, so I did her nails right
before she left for the airport.

One of her first waves.
Empty room again.
